ABOUT

Nestled in nature’s embrace, Currumbin Valley Harvest stands as a sanctuary where the pristine waters of Currumbin Creek dance their eternal song. Here, where mountain meets sky and wildlife weaves through ancient trees, we’ve created more than just a space – we’ve cultivated a haven where community blooms like wildflowers after rain.

In our kitchen, organic ingredients tell stories of soil and sun, while artisanal coffee fills the air with promises of new mornings. Each dish emerges as an exploration of flavor, a journey through tastes both familiar and unexpected, where traditional recipes meet innovative culinary adventures. We paint with local produce and season our creations with love, experimenting with nature’s palette to craft dishes that nourish both body and soul.

The symphony of creek waters and birdsong creates our daily melody, while the valley’s majestic mountain range stands guard over our peaceful refuge. It was this enchanting chorus that called to Tommy, beckoning him to continue the legacy lovingly planted by Elisha and Hughie – two beautiful souls whose initial vision transformed this spot into a community paradise.

For a decade, Tommy found solace in these hinterland waters, making the creek and rock pools his sanctuary for contemplation. Even Melbourne’s urban allure couldn’t sever his connection to this sacred place. Now, as guardian of the Harvest, he sees it as a precious gift to be shared with all who venture here.

Our commitment to organic living flows through everything we touch – from our weekly produce selections to our thoughtfully curated bulk foods. We dance in harmony with local artisans: Tribal Moon Cacao’s rich creations, Eat to Live’s conscious cuisine, Magic Potion Kombucha’s effervescent elixirs, and the golden offerings from Bee Luminaries, among others. Each partnership weaves another thread into our tapestry of sustainable living.

In our gardens, hundreds of hours of loving labor manifest in thriving medicinal cottage beds, where herbs and flowers contribute to both our ecosystem and our kitchen’s creative spirit. The space welcomes artists seeking inspiration, while musicians’ melodies blend with nature’s orchestra, creating a symphony of peace and possibility.

As Tommy often reflects, this is more than a café or community hub – it’s “Home of peace, abundance and the love that was made to hold us with the strength of a neutron star.” Here, every meal becomes a celebration, every cup of coffee a moment of connection, and every new recipe an expression of our endless curiosity and joy in sharing nature’s bounty.

We would like to respectfully acknowledge the Kombumerri people of the wider Yugambeh language region as the Traditional Owners. We acknowledge their Elders, past & present and the ongoing connection to the land on which we gather each week.

We want to share our deep gratitude to Jan and Peter Flemming, whose dedicated commitment and care for this land and the Currumbin Valley has deep and established roots. We feel the importance of carrying on the custodianship of Currumbin Valley Harvest from them, allowing this natural beauty to be shared with all.

One of the richest gems has been our regular customers.

They bring the love and life each week. They hang out, relax, share time with other regulars, kids play, fires are lit, and garden teas are drunk.

The combined synergy of energies draws more legendary people and more legendary staff.

We feel very blessed. We love showing up each week. We love growing and expanding in new ways. We hustle and bustle (but not too much!). Then at the end of each day, the sprinklers come on, the bush turkey and birds help clean up, the creek flows and we return to silence and peace until we do it all again the next day.
